Every number has neighbours. Look at these boxes:
Before = one less (7 - 1 = 6)
After = one more (7 + 1 = 8)
Between is the number in the middle of two numbers.

- By 2s: 2,4,6,8,10...

🎯 Class 1 – Remember
- Count slowly – one number for each thing
- Numbers 21 to 99 have a hyphen: twenty-one
- 40 is Forty (not Fourty)
- Before = minus 1, After = plus 1

» Three-Digit Numbers
When we have three digits, they have special names:
- Hundreds – the first digit
- Tens – the middle digit
- Ones – the last digit
Example: 347 = 3 hundreds, 4 tens, 7 ones
In words: Three hundred and forty-seven

» When There's a Zero
If the tens or ones digit is 0, we skip it:
- 305 = Three hundred and five (skip the tens)
- 420 = Four hundred and twenty (skip the ones)
- 600 = Six hundred (skip both)

- Three-digit numbers: hundreds, tens, ones
